My name is Xavier, and I’m a DevSecOps engineer with a passion for learning and sharing what I learn along the way.

Throughout my career, I’ve encountered countless concepts that seemed far more complicated than they needed to be. Not because they were inherently difficult, but because nobody explained them in a way that clicked.

That’s why I created Explained By X.

The goal of this site is simple: to break down technical concepts into explanations that are easy to understand, practical to apply, and hard to forget. Whether it’s networking, containers, or infrastructure in general, my aim is to help you move past the confusion and finally connect the dots.

My goal is not to sell you on the idea that I can fast track you to a 6 figure tech job in 6 months. Instead, my goal is to share what I’ve learned—and what I’m still learning—in the hope that it helps you're able to fill some knowledge gaps, and overcome your next roadblock, whether that’s in your homelab or at work.

So whether you're somebody just getting into tech or a seasoned engineer, my hope is that you’ll find something here that helps you along your journey
